The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Visegrad Group countries inaugurated the sixth Polish presidency in the V4. Poland chairs the Group from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. The visit to Wadowice was the first meeting of V4 Foreign Ministers in person in a few months.
The event was an opportunity to summarise activities of the Czech Presidency of the V4 and to present the main objectives of the Polish Presidency of the Group. Among the matters discussed were: plans of the German presidency of the EU Council, EU enlargement policy in the context of the situation in the Balkans, the eastern neighbourhood of the EU, economic diplomacy and the possibility of cooperation between V4 countries in this area, as well as transatlantic relations and EU-China relations.
