STORYLINE:
Hundreds of people turned out in Sarajevo on Friday to pay their respects to 50 victims of the Srebrenica massacre - Europe's worst since World War II - as a lorry carried the coffins to their final resting place.
The remains of the men and boys, found in mass graves and identified through DNA analysis, will be buried in Srebrenica on Monday, the 27th anniversary of the massacre.
The lorry could be seen departing the morgue in Visoko as it made its way to Sarajevo.
As the coffins passed by, shielded by a canvas cloth, some tucked flowers in or caressed the canvas.
Others silently prayed as the lorry stopped briefly in front of Bosnia's presidency in Sarajevo.
"What can I say, this is so hard for me. I lost my husband, my son, my brother. Everything," Fatima Aljic, a mother from Srebrenica said.
Bosnian Serbs overran the majority Muslim town on 11 July 1995, rounding up Srebrenica's Muslims and killing at least 8,000 men and boys.
Experts are still excavating the victims' bodies from hidden mass graves.
Many of the remains were torn apart and experts have had to use DNA analysis to put a body together from bones found in locations miles from each other as the perpetrators tried to hide evidence of the crime.
The massacre has been declared a genocide by international and national courts, but Serb leaders in Bosnia and neighbouring Serbia continue to downplay or even deny it despite the irrefutable evidence of what happened.
