CLEOPATRA
Piangerò la sorte mia,
sì crudele e tanto ria,
finché vita in petto avrò.
Ma poi morta, d'ogn'intorno
il tiranno e notte e giorno
fatta spettro agiterò.

Translation (by Lionel Salter):
CLEOPATRA
I will lament my lot,
so harsh and so cruel,
as long as I have breath in my body.
But when I am dead my ghost
will haunt the tyrant on all sides
by night and day.
