This soil mix will be great for Venus Flytraps, Pitcher Plants, Nepenthes & Sarracenia and other carnivorous plants. The main idea behind this mix is that it has great aeration but also absorbs and holds water. It can be tricky to get the mixture right but you need a substrate that both drains well and holds water.

Remember to only use distilled water when creating this mixture and when you are watering your plants. It's important that your carnivorous plants are not given any tap water that contains any minerals. These minerals can burn the roots and cause your plant to die. This soil mixture is designed to be nutrient and fertilizer free!
