In this video, we pack hurricane preparedness bags to help pet owners get ready for hurricane season. These emergency "grab and go" bags are designed to ensure that pet owners have everything they need to care for their pets during an evacuation, reducing the likelihood of having to surrender them to shelters.
Watch as we collaborate with Andy Piper, the volunteer coordinator, to assemble these essential kits. With over 300 animals currently sheltered and 900 in the system, the Charleston Animal Society plays a crucial role in animal welfare, especially during the busy summer months when more animals are brought in.
