The 44th Annual Business & Finance Irish Business Awards, in association with KPMG, took place on 13th December 2018 at the Convention Centre Dublin. Honourees on the night included former President Mary McAleese who was awarded the TK Whitaker Award for Outstanding Contribution to Public Life, Irish Rugby Head Coach Joe Schmidt, who was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Brand Ireland Award, and former President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso who was awarded the inaugural Sutherland Leadership Award, in memory of late great businessman, Peter Sutherland.
