A 11 mile battlefield walk starting at the the Leper Pot near Barkston Ash, through Dinting Dale where Lord Clifford and his mounted cavalry were ambushed returning from Ferrybridge. Then to All Saints Saxton where in the graveyard there is the tomb of Lord Dacre of Gilsland. Then to the Crooked Billet public house where it is said that an earlier inn on this site is where Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick the King Maker lodged before the battle. In a field opposite the pub is St Mary’s chapel known locally as Lead Church that is visited before a tour of the battlefield information boards.
