In this part-3 and final video on eukaryotic DNA replication initiation, we discuss the process of origin firing. This is when cdc45 and GINS form the CMG helicase, which leads to pre-initiation complex formation. The CMG helicase marks the origin melting process. After melting the origin of replication, the CMG helicase forms the replisome, which can enter elongation. We dive into how all this is established and we also connect origin firing to the cell cycle dynamics as well.
