Peanut or groundnut chutney is a quick, delicious and excellent substitute for Coconut Chutney. Serve it with the classic South Indian breakfast of idli, dosa, medu vada, or uttapam for a hearty, wholesome, healthy meal. It is naturally vegan too. Ingredients:
Peanuts/Groundnuts - 1/4 cup
Chana dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Green chilly - 1
Red chilly - 3
Curry leaves - few
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Tamarind - 1 inch
Shredded/pieces coconut - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt - per taste
