(19 Jan 2015) Orthodox Christians across Europe have been taking part in traditional celebrations on Epiphany Day, a Christian celebration that marks the baptism of Jesus Christ.
Serbian Orthodox Christians were among those celebrating the event on Monday, participating in a swimming race held in the freezing cold Danube River in Belgrade.
Strahinja Tadic proudly held aloft a wooden cross after winning the race, saying he didn't expect to win because he "was the youngest person ever to take part in the swim".
Meanwhile, in Moscow, followers of the Christian Orthodox Church plunged into the icy waters of the Moskva River, a tradition many believe keeps them healthy for the whole year.
