These are the Bollywood Stars Who Changed Their Religion :-

1. A R Rahman :- It is unknown to many people that this legendary music composer was born as a Hindu. His former name was Dileep Kumar given by his parents. He took Islam when he found his belief in God through his belief in Allah. After converting to Islam he took the name Allah Rakha Rahman.

2. Amrita Singh :- Amrita was a Sikh by birth but she converted into Islam to marry Saif Ali Khan. Saif’s parents were against their marriage but still they got married and after 13 years of their marriage they parted ways. It is unknown if she has again converted to Sikhism or not. Saif is currently happily married to Kareena who hasn’t changed her religion.

3. Dharmendra :- This veteran actor wanted to get married to the love of his life, Hema Malini. But his first wife denied giving him divorce. So in order to get married to the ‘Dream Girl’, he converted into Islam. He took the name Dilawar Khan Kewal Krishn after taking Islam.

4. Sharmila Tagore :- This beautiful and talented actress converted to Islam to marry the love of her life Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. After taking Islam she changed her name into Begum Ayesha Sultana.

5. Hema Malini :- The ‘Dream Girl’ of Bollywood fell in love with veteran actor Dharmendra and in order to get married to him she also converted into Islam. On 21st august, 1979 she took Islam and changed her name into Aisha Bi R. Chakravarty.

6. Hazel Keech :- This actress was Christian by birth. Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Hazel fell in love and wanted to get married. In order to get married with Yuvraj Singh, Hazel converted her religion into Sikhism. She also took the name Gurbasant Kaur which was given to her during the wedding ceremony.

7. Ayesha Takia :- This cute and bubbly actress of Bollywood changed her religion for marriage. Ayesha changed her religion and took Islam to get married to her lover Farhaan Azmi. Their marriage took place in the year 2009 and was a typical ‘Nikaah’.

8. Divya Bharati :- By birth this actress was a Hindu and she was a very religious person and visited temples daily. But she was in love with Sajid Nadiadwala and to marry him she converted into Islam. After her conversion into Islam she took the name Sana.

9. Nagma :- This south Indian actress who is a leading lady in Bhojpuri films came openly about her change of faith in 2008. She was Hindu by birth but she found belief in god through Christanity. Her extensive knowledge of Bible amazed Nagma’s fans. Nagma even said that Jesus Christ is the only superstar in her life and she wats to preach and spread Gospel to every city her lord takes her to.

10. Mamta Kulkarni :- Mamta Kulkarni was by birth a Hindu and but converted to Islam to marry her boyfriend Vicky Goswami. Vicky was serving in Jail in UAE and his term was reduced when he took Islam in the prison. So in order to marry him, Mamta Kulkarni also had to convert to Islam.

11. Mahesh Bhatt :- Mahesh Bhatt fell in love with Soni Razdan who is Alia’s mother. But his first wife denied him divorce so he converted to Islam and got married to Soni Razdan without divorcing his first wife.

12. Nayantara :- By birth Christian, the south Indian actress converted into Hinduism. She was in love with Prabhudeva and to marry him she converted into Hinduism.
