Developed in Russia by Aerovolga Scientific Production Cooperative, designed in compliance with the US F2245 and Canadian Advanced Ultralight regulations.
Empty production Borey weighs 380 kilograms, including complete IFR-compliant equipment with double electric redundancy, TAWS, traffic control system and triplex system
Manufacturer declares takeoff and landing run both of 120 meters both on dry land and water in standard atmospheric conditions and full takeoff weight of 650 kilograms. Practically runs are even shorter for experienced pilots.
270 kilograms of useful load, 100 knots speed at maximum continuous rating of Rotax 912S and IFR flight: a combination that seaplane pilots should take note of.
Technically the plane design allows for larger takeoff weight. The design is also modular, so the plane can be tailored for customer needs, including, for instance, higher payloads if Rotax 914 is installed. A controlled pitch propeller instead of fixed-pitch allows cruising at 102 knots. Aerovolga is open for any input.
