Footage shot and edited by George Laycock of Blacktide Visual.
Here's part three (and the final) of a series of clips of the prog guitar legend, producer and ambient dance pioneer in conversation with Prog Editor Jerry Ewing about the box set and his entire career.
In this clip, Steve reminisces about "the harsh wind of punk", becoming type cast as a conservative hippy, and blowing those preconceptions out of the water in an interview and spontaneous jam with Jimmy Pursey (Sham 69). He also talks about his growing interest in electronic music, including watching people dance to Kraftwerk for the first time in a nightclub in Plymouth, and how he eventually took his signature 'sound' into dance music as System 7.
