Alice van Harten, the co-founder of Menlo Coaching, discusses what to do when for your MBA applications.
Applying to business school takes a lot of time and preparation. There are a number of things you should do before you even begin writing the essays, personal story, or career goals. Early preparation includes achieving the best GMAT score you can, working on business school selection, planning school visits, connecting with recommenders, and networking.
Completing these tasks will leave you in a good spot to start the core MBA admissions process. We’ve seen the most successful applicants that get admitted to top business schools (e.g., Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, Wharton) start as early as possible. There are always components of the application that might require extra work or take longer than expected, and starting early can help you be proactive in the MBA admissions journey.
In this video, Alice outlines the MBA application timeline: everything you need to do for business school admissions and when you should do them.
