Time lapse of succulents growing indoors under full spectrum LED grow lights. Succulents, also called fat plants store water in their leaves/stems and require very little attention to grow. Commonly found in arid climates where droughts are frequent they prefer well draining soil.
Crassula perforata (String on buttons, baby’s necklace, jade necklace) is a variety of succulent native to South Africa. This variety is easy to identify from its pale greenish blue leaves with red edges stacked on top of each other, spiraling around the stem. Very drought tolerant and preferring well draining soil and lots of sun light, able to reach heights of 2-3 feet outdoors.
Sedeveria (lilac mist) is a sedum hybrid named after its blueish gray color. Growing in a compact rosette reaching as big as six inches tall. Great for containers or outdoor if in zones 9 - 11. Succulent, sedum and cactus soil is ideal for this popular variety.
