Should the central bank know everything about you if they create a Central Bank Digital Currency? What information with respect to your identity actually needs to be collected for such a system to work? By Identity privacy being known to the Central bank, the data I'd centralized and could therefore enjoy centralized protections. However, this could also cause major harm on human rights and democratic values according to a paper published by the Office of Science and Technology in the White House.
