Chevy Tahoe has a power operated lift gate release switch ( liftgate handle button) and power operated tail gate glass release switch ( tailgate glass button). ( 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | 2013 | 2014 | PPV | SSV | LS | LT | LTZ ).
If there is no power coming to the rear hatch, liftgate will not be opening. Most common fix is replacing a burnt fuse under the hood.
9 out of 10 times this will fix your problem. If you are unfortunate, then most likely you will have to replace the release switches themselves. That would be the case if only 1 switch works, and other does not.
