Janet Huff of Detroit on her experiences with racism in Detroit and how the assassination of Dr. King changed her opinion of the method of nonviolence, "I wasn't really in with the nonviolent aspect, I was more interested in what Malcolm X was saying ... It wasn't long after Dr. Kings assassination that I really understood why it had to be nonviolent in order for it to succeed."
