The new generation of Toyota Harrier has launched globally. After being present first in Japan, then the United States under the name Venza, now the latest Harrier has also been marketed in Southeast Asia.
The Harrier gains a fresh front fascia with sharp LED headlights and taillights, where height has been lowered 30mm to compliment that as well as having an almost sloping roof design. 19" alloys are standard, and it will be available with seven different paint jobs.
Inside this cabin is where the significant changes are for the new Harrier. An all new 12.3 inch touchscreen, two tone synthetic leather and a Mclaren-like electrochromatic panoramic sunroof that blurs out the glass to block off UV rays from entering the cabin and the first ever digital cabin mirror fitted to a car from Toyota.
Toyota Malaysia released a new generation of Harrier which is only available in one engine option. The engine is the M20A-FKS with a capacity of 2,000 cc with a power of 173 ps or the equivalent of 171 tk and 203 Nm of torque with a CVT automatic transmission. This power is clearly lower than the previous generation which reached 231 ps or the equivalent of 229 tk and 350 Nm of torque. Even so, the acceleration of this car is still fairly good. According to his claim, this SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 9.7 seconds, and has a maximum speed of 190 kph. Meanwhile, claims of fuel consumption are also fairly efficient, reaching 15.3 km per liter. This achievement even increased from the previous model which carried a turbo engine, about 13 km per liter.
Unlike Toyota's latest SUV that carries a choice of hybrid engines, such as the Corolla Cross and C-HR, the latest Harrier also comes without a choice of environmentally friendly engines. In addition to changes from the kitchen runway sector, the base of this car now uses the TNGA-K, which is slightly larger and lower than before.
