Guyanese batsman Kevlon Anderson described scoring his maiden First-Class hundred as the ‘best feeling’, having extended it to a majestic 153 for the West Indies Academy side against Team Headley in the first round of the Headley/Weekes Tri-Series.
Batting on day two at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua, the 22-year-old right-handed Anderson anchored the innings, securing the Academy side a crucial 64-run lead, as they posted 323 in response to Team Headley’s 259.
Anderson was playing only his fourth First-Class game, having made his debut for Four-Day champions Guyana Harpy Eagles in the recently concluded West Indies Championship.
According to the Berbician, advice from his Harpy Eagles skipper Leon Johnson helped him to improve his game, especially in the area of concentration. Anderson spoke to Cricket West Indies Media representative Naasira Mohammed after the day’s play in Antigua.
