Can you identify this aquatic plant? Hints: it is native to the United States. It is not common in the aquarium plant industry, in fact I haven’t seen it used for that purpose to date. It is used in ponds. In the wild It is a marginal plant that can grow submerged and as an emergent in shallow water. The growth forms are similar but noticeably different, the form featured is the emergent form. I’ll be surprised if someone identifies this one! Hoping to start offering this plant for sale this summer if it passes all my tests.
