A young Nigerian patient with a neglected elbow dislocation benefited from reconstructive surgery to restore mobility and flexibility of the joint. He underwent an open reduction and a dynamic external fixator to restore mobility. Neglected elbow dislocations are common in Africa and Asia. Mr. Harrison is glad to have come to Chennai for this treatment. He is able to bend his elbow to eat, shake hands and straighten it.
