It is no secret that Count Dooku was a bit of a snob. He despised anything that went against his own beliefs and he saw almost all Jedi as beneath him in terms of skill with a lightsaber. This snobbery was especially true in regard to the former slave boy, Anakin Skywalker. At the end of the Attack of the Clones, a foolish young Anakin tried to take on Dooku, leading to the loss of his arm. However, Dooku saw Anakin’s decision to get a cybernetic hand as a sign of great weakness. He thought it was so egregious, he believed it disgraced the entire Jedi Order as a true master of the lightsaber would simply learn how to duel with one hand.
