The new CHR comes in an array of models, offering versatility and choice to meet your driving needs. Building on the success of its first-generation model, which sold over 840,000 units in Europe since 2017, the new CHR accelerates its image with a super-coupe profile. Sporting diamond-cut side character lines, geometric shapes, and short front and rear overhangs, the CHR boasts a modern and dynamic design that turns heads wherever it goes.

Inside, the second-generation Toyota CHR features fifth-generation hybrid technology, offering a class-leading balance of power and emissions. With four electrified powertrains available, including self-charging Hybrid 140, Hybrid 200, Hybrid 200 AWD-i, and Plug-in Hybrid 220, the CHR delivers exceptional performance tailored to European roads and driving tastes.

Key features of the fifth-generation hybrid system include a new lithium-ion battery pack beneath the rear seats, providing 14% higher output while being lighter and more compact. The new transaxle achieves a 15% weight saving, and a new power control unit improves efficiency and reduces cabin noise, ensuring a smooth and responsive driving experience.

For the GR SPORT Premiere Edition, the CHR boasts exterior enhancements such as a new G-mesh pattern front grille, GR badges, and unique 20-inch alloy wheels. All models feature full LED lighting and aerodynamic details, including Toyota-first flush door handles, enhancing both style and performance.

Taking cues from the prologue concept, the GR SPORT now boasts new bi-tone paint options with black accents on the side sills and roof, creating the illusion of a lowered roofline. Additionally, the black three-quarter section and the Toyota C-HR LED rear light bar add to its sporty appearance.

Inside, the GR SPORT showcases sport front seats embossed with the GR logo and Liquid Black accents on the center console. An optional sky-view panoramic glass roof, featuring low-emissive and infrared-reducing coatings, eliminates the need for a conventional sunshade while offering weight savings and increased headroom.

The 2024 Toyota C-HR comes equipped with advanced technology features including a 12.3-inch Toyota Smart Connect Multimedia System, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, a head-up display, premium JBL sound system, and USB-C ports.

All variants of the 2024 Toyota C-HR come standard with the latest suite of Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance features. Additionally, future software updates within this system can be automatically delivered over the air, eliminating the need for manual updates by a retailer.

The C-HR range offers a variety of models, starting with the GXL at $42,990, followed by the mid-spec Koba at $49,990, and the flagship all-wheel drive GR Sport at $54,990 (all before on-road costs). Each model is exclusively powered by hybrid powertrains.

The range is divided into four main classes - Icon, Design, Excel, and GR Sport - as well as a Premier Edition.

No longer is the C-HR a price-point small SUV purchase. In fact, the C-HR GR Sport is not only more costly than a Corolla Cross, it's also steeper than a RAV4 Cruiser hybrid ($54,410).
