Simply put, a sanatorium is like an all-inclusive hotel but it has a variety of medical programs such as Health and Beauty, Weight Loss, Healthy Heart, and many others. It is a really good place if you want to get healthier or treat some health problems. In Belarus, it is very affordable. I stayed 12 days and paid approximately $550. The price included everything: room, homemade food, spa facility with aquapark, gym, and medical treatment (doctors appointment, massages, special bathtubs, natural tea/cocktails, etc).
I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend visiting.
Overall, Belarus Health Resorts are an amazing place not only to relax and recharge your batteries but also to treat many health problems and even addictions. Yes, I wanted to mention "addiction" because "There were an estimated 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 12-month period ending in April 2021" according to CDC.
So maybe it is your chance to try something else: give yourself a few weeks and go to a place that is very different from where you are with no access to drugs, and you will feel a lot better. If you don't speak Russian and need someone to translate and to be around, I'm happy to do so.
