The new roundabout off of Interstate 81 at exit 150B has been designed to accommodate these factors as part of a safety improvement project. They can also allow for higher speeds and larger vehicles including tractor-trailers and emergency vehicles. The interchange, located in Botetourt County in the Roanoke Valley area, is one of the busiest in the region due to the intersection of primary Routes 11/220/220 Alternate. The new features of the interchange also include a new northbound I-81 on-ramp and a direct turn lane onto Route 220 from I-81 northbound.
