Here’s a good exercise I use in my warmups before #poledancing to get my shoulders ready for the movement I’ll be doing.
I’m using a 2.5lb weight in this video, but feel free to use less weight – or no weight at all.
I wouldn’t recommend using a heavier weight because we will be circling the weight above our head!
Take turns in each arm, using the weight to draw 4-6 mindful, slow circles around your head.
Make sure you change directions and feel the rotation in your shoulders and your wrist. Breathe and engage your abs.
Don’t hit yourself in the head! Or anything around you.
