"Cold Dark Place" is such an underrated EP. I love how they experimented with this warm and mellow sound. I used a Marshall '69 Plexi Kemper preset for this with an additional soft shaper for the clean sounds and a hard shaper for the distortion.
I wanted to learn this song for a long time, because it's so god damn beautiful! The tabs I found when the song came out didn't really cut it for me. So now I figured I'd learn the song fully by ear and make a video out of it.
Mastodon songs are really hard to play, so please excuse the tiny mistakes. The riff of the rhythm guitar can hardly be heard in the first part of the song, so I relied on what is being played at the end.
