Filmmaker Cary Fukunaga and Abraham Attah talk about their new film "Beasts of No Nation." Set in an unnamed West African country, the film takes you into the world of child soldiers and how they are recruited and molded by a charistmatic commandant. Attah makes his debut as Agu, a child soldier and Idris Elba plays the role of the Commandant.
What drew Fukunaga to make Beasts of No Nation? What were the challenges of making this film in Ghana? How is Netflix changing the game in the feature films landscape? This is the first feature film that Netflix has acquired and it is releasing in theatres and online on the same day - October 16, 2015.
