I put a poll on my Facebook page & I have decided to upload some railroad crossing footage that I was going to put on DVD, but never did. This footage was taken back on August 7, 2008 at the S St crossing in Sacramento, CA. This crossing is jointly owned by the UP & SCRTA with BNSF having trackage rights on the UP. Crossing is also in a quiet zone where trains can't blast their horns. I was surprised to find UP's signal was a Griswold style EM sporting 12x24 WCH Clear LED's & a rare Safetran Type 1 e-bell! SCRTA's signal is a Harmon Cantilever with GS LED's & a GS Type 1 e-bell. Unfortunately in 2011, UP replaced the entire EM signal with a brand new signal & the Safetran Type 1 is now gone, replaced with a Safetran Type 2 e-bell.
