Jang Hyon poisoned Jang Ok Jung for his ambition, in my opinion.He poisoned two women in this drama, In Hyon' mother and Lee Sun's mother, so I guess he poisoned Jang Ok Jung too in the original script.He is the poison,isn't he?
Jang Hyon threats Jang Ok Jung that he was the man who poisoned her.It makes Jang Ok Jung nervous in front of Lee Sun. That's the beginning of Lee Sun's suspicion.
DongPyon's unrequited love, JiSu's action,the miscarriage of Lady Tsui, so many misunderstandings make Lee Sun can't trust Jang Ok Jung and her love.But he still loves her, his soul can't live without her,so he lets her stay in the Palace as a concubines, also as a shield for their son.
The last straw is the witchcraft, after that, Lee Sun doesn't trust her anymore. He decides to sacrifice Jang Ok Jung to save their son's throne. So the king says "Die for me ".

I think the theme of this drama isn't whether Jang Ok Jung is a good woman or a bad woman, this is a story about how the power , the class and the feudalism make a woman lose her dream, her reputation, her love and her life.
If Jang Ok Jung is pure, her story will be a real tragedy.
If Lee Sun changes from a man to a king (although he is born to be a king ), kills his soul by himself, his story also will be a real tragedy.
I feel so sad for this drama and the writer. She ruins herself ,like Jang Ok Jung in this drama.

But I still love this drama, like Lee Sun loves Jang Ok Jung in this drama.If you don't abandon me, if you still love me, I'll hold your hand forever.
Thanks to the writer ,you give Lee Sun and Jang Ok Jung a most beautiful and warmest love , they trust each other, they do everything they can do to save each other.
It's a sad but warm story, I really love it, emotionally.
