Pune: Historical palace and fort Shaniwar Wada is the center of attraction of Pune City. On 22 January 1732 opening ceremony of Shaniwar Wada was performed in Pune as the occasion was on Saturday, the palace name was denoted as Shaniwar Wada. Shaniwar Wada in Pune was the seat of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire established by Chhatrapati Shivaji in the 17th century. In the year 2021, Peshwa dynasty pride Shaniwar Wada turned 289 years old.
