Before you start your own Biofloc IMC Fish Farming, it will good to understand IMC fish behavior and their lifestyle.
IMC Category fishes are very sensible and they need sufficient space to grow. Ideally, they don't like to stay in high density.
Based on their feeding habits, IMC Fishes can be categories into three types i.e. Surface Feeder, Column Feeder, and Bottom Feeders.
Surface Feeders: Catla and Silver Carps
Column Feeder: Rohu (Labeo Rohita)
Bottom Feeders: Mrigal (Cinhina Mrigala) and Common Carp
In Biofloc System, we use floating feeds and Surface Feeder Fishes are more suitable for it. Column and Bottom Feeders are not suitable for Biofloc System.
