'The Golden Age Of Light Music' is a collection of 135 compact discs issued between 2004 ans 2015 by Guild Music.
Each of the CD's features 25 or more original recordings of the cream of light music from the 20th century.
The series was created by English musicologist David Ades (1938-2015) during his long term association with the Robert Farnon Appreciation Society as its secretary/treasurer and magazine editor.
The more tan 3,000 original 78s and LPs were digitally remastered by Alan Bunting (1939-2016).
Over the years, Alan developed consummate skills in the science of audio restoration. He used a number of proprietary hardware and software systems, including the well-known CEDAR.
This CD is titled 'Orchestral Gems In Stereo' (GLCD 5165) released in 2010.
'Le Premier Rendezvous' (The First Date) is a composition by Rene Sylviano and Richard Busch and performed by Hans-Georg Arlt and his orchestra (Ariola 32721) issued in 1958
