This video explores the usage of interconnecting Configurable Logic Cell(CLC) with other Microchip’s 8-bit and 16-bit Core Independent Peripherals(CIPs). A brief introduction on what the CLC is and how to configure CLC is provided. Several design uses of how to use CLC to interconnect peripheral functions are shown, such as using the CLC to achieve core independent logic operations, capture real time signal, and rout internal signal. Also, a decent number of real-world applications by using CLC to combine other peripherals such as Hardware Limit Timer(HLT), SPI, PWM, Numerically Controlled Oscillator(NCO), and Zero Cross Detect(ZCD), are introduced. The application examples cover ZCD jitter filter, motor control auto-shutdown logic, RGB LED lighting peripheral, phase detector, etc..
