After many, many months of waiting and preparing, I finally got chance to attend a British Army assessment event. This is a hugely important moment in my journey that could either open the door to a career in the military or slam it shut forever.

The assessment is essentially a 24 hour job interview, with numerous cognitive and physical test throughout the event.

Only those that make the grade will be allowed entry to the best armed forces in the world.
