This patient describes how she can develop all types of TMJ problems after having some fillings done. She had tooth pain , jaw pain, muscle pain, clicking in her TM Joints, Joint Pain and Headaches. She had seen the same dentist her whole life and had never had problems prior to seeing a new dentist who replaced fillings and did several new ones. She returned to her family dentist who she trusted who replaced the fillings that had been done and the severe sensitivity to cold resolved but the other symptoms remained.

She is currently wearing a Diagnostic Neuromuscular Orthotic that she keeps in 24 hours/ day. She didn't like how it felt in her mouth at first but now has become completely used to wearing the orthotic. All of her pain and medical issues have almost completely resolved .

She is used to the appliance and is pain free and is opting for orthodontics as a final correction. Dr Shapira has referred her to Dr David Hertzberg an orthodontist in Grayslake who is excellent at finishing TMJ cases.
