cookcurry|cc| Nombu kanji is very famous porridge prepared during the month of ramadan for iftar (while breaking fast). It is a mixture of nutritious ingredients and tastes very good. It helps to boost the energy after long day of fasting.
Ingredients:
Raw rice - 125 g
mooong dhal - 25g
minced meat - 50 g (chicken/mutton/beef) adding meat gives extra flavour
oil - 4 tbsp
cinnamon - 1 piece
cloves - 3
cardamom - 1
cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp (I have wrongly mentioned Fenugreek as fennel the in video)
onion - 1
tomato - 1
green chilli - 1
carrot - 1/2
beans - 5-6
green peas - 25g
chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
coriander powder - 1 tsp
cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
garam masala - 1/4 tsp
turmeric powder - pinch
salt - to taste
