Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda California- Nixon was the 37th President of the United States of America.
He was president from 1969-1974 and was the first president to ever resign from office. The library and museum also include his birthplace home plus a Marine One helicopter.
The library is run by the National Archives and the Richard Nixon Foundation. The museum is in a 52,000 square foot building on a 9-acre piece of property. Behind the museum is the house Richard Nixon’s father built using a home building kit. President Nixon and the first lady Pat Nixon are buried on the ground near the house.
The archive material contained here relates to all of the President’s life and career. The collection contains 46 million papers of textual records, 6,900 sound recordings, 5,110 films, 5,650 video recordings and 500.000 photos. There are also over 300 artifacts on display.
Hours of operation are 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday
