Nickel Roll Hunting and Coin Collection Album Filling #1
I've decided to start a new coin roll hunting series to see how many bank boxes it takes to fill an entire Dansco Album for Nickels dated 1938-1999. There are 138 slots to fill and although I already have an entire nickel coin collection, I did not keep track of the number of boxes it took to complete the set, which I completed through coin roll hunting.
This is part 1 of the new series and I do plan on updating it from each nickel box I hunt from this point forward until the coin collection is completed! It may be a little tougher due to the coin shortage from the Federal Reserve, but we will give it a go!
FYI - The Dansco Album does not have spots for some coins but we'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels (namely semi-key and key date nickels), Liberty V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and our eyes open for some valuable Nickels!
