A video tutorial on how to start a 2010 - 2015 Toyota Prius with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message Key Not Detected.
This will only apply to Toyota Prius that have a push button start ignition.
If your remote key fob has a dead battery or is broken , you may see an error message of "Key Not Detected" when you attempt to start your Toyota Prius. The solution to the key not detected problem is to touch the back of the bad or dead remote key fob to the Prius' Stop/Start button, then you will be able to start your Prius as you normally would.
