If you love #Mexicanfood, you are going to love today's recipe! We're making authentic #TexMex Tacos al Carbon, and this #recipe comes straight out of #Texas!
#TacosalCarbon is essentially beef fajita tacos already rolled up for you, without the peppers and onions, and it is always served with a bonus side of queso!
To simplify the cooking process for all you at-home chefs, we're going to cook the steak in a skillet rather than on the grill, and we'll be using #flanksteak instead of skirt steak. It fits better in the skillet this way!
Before that, we'll first need to whip up the flank steak #marinade! To make the marinade, you'll need limes, cilantro, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, and oil.
Once you've got your marinade made, add it to a plastic bag, along with the steak, seal it, and let it marinate for about 4 hours, or even up to overnight.
Once you're ready to cook, you'll pull out the flank steak and it's time to get cooking for your Tacos al Carbon! Pat the beef dry, drizzle it with oil, and season with salt and pepper. Then, get the oil hot in the skillet and sear it on both sides.

Once the beef is cooked to your liking, pull it off the heat and let it rest. While it's resting, feel free to toast up some flour tortillas on the stovetop as an extra special touch. Then, slice the beef and fill your tacos!
Don't forget to serve it with queso on the side and a Mexican salad! Here is an awesome queso recipe for you!
