Republicans in the House of Representatives still seem to be hellbent on arresting, sending the House Sergeant at Arms to go and arrest Attorney General Merrick Garland, because he allegedly has not turned over all of the things that Republicans want him to turn over. And by God, they've just had enough of this coverup, even though he's actually turned over most of what they've asked for. It's just that some of it, he, he legally cannot because the administration claimed executive privilege over it. So they're whining that the Attorney General is not breaking the law. And because he refuses to break the law, they want to have him arrested. And of course, the leader of all of this is Florida Republican representative Anna Paulina Luna, who of course is a MAGA Republican. And according to new reports Republican speaker Mike Johnson spent the first half of this week privately begging her and other Republicans to please, please do not arrest the Attorney General.
That is not a smart move, Mike Johnson says, and we don't wanna do it like we're already trying to work this out in courts. You know, we, we've got balls rolling here, wheels are in motion. We don't need to arrest the Attorney General. And Anna Pauline Luna basically said up yours, I'm gonna do it anyway. And she pushed her inherent contempt resolution, uh, on Wednesday, of course. But I think it's hilarious that Mike Johnson, who of course has been in the job for a little under a year, he only got the job because Kevin McCarthy got ousted by his own party. And Johnson is kind limped along ever since taking the job, never really being a leader and always getting pushed around by the underlings. And that's what's so hilarious about this. There are no leaders in the Republican Party when the speaker of your own party, I mean Speaker of the house, a member of your own party, all the power in the house, third in line for the presidency, he's behind closed doors begging these people who've been in Congress only for, you know, two or three years saying, please don't do this. Oh, dear God, no, don't, no, I'm so scared. Don't do this, please. And they look at him and they're like, Hey, uh, got this for you. You have no power because you have no leaders, because you have no idea how to lead. You have no idea how to govern. That is what we are dealing with with these Republicans. A bunch of adult sized toddlers that somehow got into positions of power. They don't know what to do with it, but they know well
That nobody's gonna tell 'em what to do with it because they're just gonna do whatever the hell they want to do anyway. That's what we're dealing with, with this Republican controlled house. So if you aren't happy about it, I think you know how to vote in November.
