Joe Biden has said he would “push hard” to make election day a national holiday in the US, if the Democrats are elected in the 2020 presidential election.

In a video released by the Biden campaign, the Democratic nominee for president held a socially distanced conversation with senator Kamala Harris, his vice-presidential nominee.

Biden told Harris: “When you and I get elected, God willing, we’re going to push hard to make election day a national holiday so people don’t have to take off work.”
