Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida introduced a package of wide-ranging measures on June 13, 2023, to reverse the country’s falling birth rate that’s threatening the world's third-largest economy. The new measures include bigger payouts and providing homes for families with children. The government will also urge companies to offer more flexible working arrangements, such as by providing three-days leave to help parents.
