Big Laurel Creek feeds is a Class III-IV river that feeds into Section 9 of the French Broad. At 2.6', the level we had after a solid amount of rain, I would say that this is an excellent river for a Class IV boater to tackle if they are trying to get more big water experience. The holes weren't sticky, and the waves were decently big. Plus, the creek feeds right into French Broad, which was 10,000 CFS in our case, which also makes for some fun big water play!
Thanks to Diane and Daniel Brausell for another fun run, doing Brush Creek earlier in the day!
