I once again decided to venture out to Secaucus to watch some of the midday morning and early evening NJ Transit and Amtrak trains as they travel through the station. Upon starting the evening at the station I found ALP-45DP #4502 on track A running in diesel mode for some reason. After a while this train departed the station for the MMC i believe. Perhaps this was a NJCL train that had a mechanical problem and it was removed from service? I'm not sure. It also appears to me that the Arrow IIIs are becoming more and more scarce seeing how many trains are powered by ALP-46s and ALP-45s. Along with the assortment of NJT trains a few Amtrak Regionals fly by with ACS-64s on both ends. This practice allows for quicker turnaround times upon termination and improves acceleration.
