On July 29 every year, Zoos Victoria takes the opportunity to celebrate World Tiger Day.
Over the last century, 95% of the world’s tiger population has been lost mainly due to habitat destruction, clearing land and forest to make way for palm oil plantations. With approximately 600 Sumatran Tigers left in the wild, we each have a big role to play in the conservation of this incredible species.
