Global healthcare systems are struggling to cope with an epidemic of chronic illness. Last year, across the world, 15 million people died from lifestyle related health conditions which could be prevented, treated, managed and reversed using a lifestyle medicine approach.
The British Society of Lifestyle Medicine was founded in 2016 to reframe healthcare. We want to see healthcare systems shift focus to support people to lead healthier lifestyles.
At the society's annual conference in 2021 at Edinburgh ICC we asked healthcare professionals to share their thoughts on "why we need lifestyle medicine?" ...
