Ah...Paris! What better place to celebrate a landmark event and that is where ex-Marine (husband, Steve) chose for his 70th birthday. We stayed at Hotel Moderne Saint Germain quite a few times before and the Left Bank of the Seine (Rive Gauche) happens to be our favorite area. Close to Notre Dame Cathedral, the bars, restaurants and hip shops (not that I can afford to buy anything)...the Ile de Louis and Ile de la Cite...
A fast flight from Chicago on American Airlines using miles for free tickets (doesn't that word "free" spread happiness throughout your body?) and it was Bonjour, Paris... Who cares if it is November...this is PARIS!
